Patriots Punter Zoltan Mesko Puts the 'Wood' in Maplewood

The player signed a giant Patriots helmet that was carved out of wood by chainsaw artist Michael Higgins.

Last weekend, New England Patriots punter Zoltan Mesko made a visit to Maplewood Country Day Camp during one of their open houses.

During his visit, local chainsaw artist Michael Higgins carved up a Patriots helmet out of wood which was then autographed by the player.

"Michael Higgins, he actually carved that the day of the open house and Zoltan signed it,” said Sharon Maynard, who works at the camp.

“He set up in the gym and he took pictures with families, with the kids, shook hands, signed autographs. He’s a real nice guy,” she said of Mesko.

The giant wooden helmet now sits in the lobby of the main building at the camp for all to see.
