Police Log: Attempted Break-in at Sophies, Loose Dog, and More

Thursday, Jan. 16
At 4:20 a.m., police responded to an alarm at Sophie's Pizza in what appeared to be an attempted break-in, confirmed by a security tape. Other businesses in the area also showed signs of attempted break-ins.At 9:50 p.m., a caller reported that his car was missing from from the parking lot at Fox Run Condos on Foundry Street. He had the keys and last saw the car at about 6:30 p.m.Â
Friday, Jan. 17
At 9:18 a.m., the animal control officer found a stray yellow lab on Mechanic Street, attempted to contact a possible owner, and took the dog to the Animal Protection CenterAt 5:29 p.m., a caller reported that when she got to her home on Armor Lane, she found the middle garage door open and when she got inside discovered that she was robbed.Â
At 8:06 p.m., a caller reported that he returned home (Pat's Family Daycare on Washington Street) to find his vehicle missing. Police arrested Daniel Andrade of Easton for Breaking and Entering into a residence and motor vehicle offenses. Â
