The restaurant has been shut down since the new year due to a fire.

Despite a New Year’s Eve fire that caused extensive smoke damage and destroyed the kitchen, the Stoneforge Grill in Easton is aiming to reopen next week.

General Manager Allen Lamere told the Boston Globe they are hoping to reopen on Jan. 14 and are currently in the process of replacing everything and rebuilding the kitchen.

On New Year’s Eve, firefighters in Easton responded to a report of a blaze at about 3 a.m. Damage from the fire was estimated at about $250,000.
