UPDATE: Stoneforge Restaurant Closed After Overnight Fire
The fire broke out about 3 a.m. in the kitchen walls, causing extensive damage.

The kitchen of the Stoneforge Restaurant was badly damaged in an overnight fire.
Employees inside the building at 10 Roosevelt Circle, reportedly pulled the fire alarm around 3 a.m. Thursday after the fire broke out inside a wall of the building. A cleaning crew working in the kitchen reportedly smelled smoke coming from inside the wall. Plywood inside the wall behind the stove overheated and caught fire, a preliminary investigation has revealed.
The Easton Fire Department, along with departments from Stoughton, West Bridgwater and Sharon, cut holes in the wall and quickly contained the fire to the area between the kitchen and a restroom. Still, there was extensive damage to the kitchen equipment. The restaurant is reportedly expected to be closed for a couple weeks, including the busy New Year’s holiday.
