OA Softball Shuts Out Stoughton in Senior Game

The win is their second this season over Stoughton.

The Oliver Ames girls varsity softball team shutout Stoughton on senior day Monday afternoon.

The Tigers won, 4-0, after OA pitcher Mattea Sarnecki allowed only four hits in a complete game effort. Sarnecki had four strikeouts.

Senior Ariana Scurti went 1-3 with an RBI. Sophomore Kayla Soucie had two hits in the game and scored a run. Junior Nicole Cosgrove went 2-3 with an RBI and sophomore Jenna Morley had one hit and knocked in an RBI in the 6th inning.

The Tigers are now 11-5 on the season. They will face Sharon on the road Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
