That's Him: Not the Guy Who Broke into the Car

The following information was provided by the Easton Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate convictions.

Wednesday, June 5

Repo Man (1:31 a.m.) - A tow company called the Easton Police Department to let them know that they will be attempting to repossess a car. The tow truck was able to repossess the vehicle without any problems.

Wild Driver (7:45 a.m.) - Sharon Police received a call about a driver being all over the road on Massapoag Ave. The caller stated the car headed into Easton and relayed the license plate. Easton Police searched the are but couldn't find the car.

Slumped Over Driver (8:24 a.m.) - A caller in the vicinity of Foundry Ave. and Sandstone Dr. reported that seeing a man who appeared to be slumped over the steering wheel of his car. The Easton Fire Department responded but couldn't find the car.

Driving While Talking (11:15 a.m.) - A caller reported an erratic driver on Depot St. An officer responded and spoke with the man driving the vehicle, who state that he had been talking on his cell phone.

Spitting Drivers (12:11 p.m.) - A caller in the vicinity of Main St. and Washington St. reported a road rage incident. She stated that the other driver spit on her. The other driver all called the police. Both parties involved were advised to come to the Police Station to speak to an officer.

Suspicious Men (12:50 p.m.) - A Summer St. caller reported three black males walking into a backyard from a black pick-up truck. Officers responded to check it out and found that the men were landscapers working at the property so no action was required.

Assault (4:47 p.m.) - A caller from Center St. said he was assaulted while at a friend's house. The Easton Fire Department was notified, and the man had superficial injuries. The alleged victim decided to pursue charges on his own.

Thursday, June 6

Barking Dog (6:19 a.m.) - A Turnpike St. resident called Easton Police to report that their neighbor's dog has been tied up outside for the past 30 minutes barking. The caller stated that this is a regular occurence and that they'd like someone to speak to them. An officer was dispatched was dispatched and spoke to the dog owner, who brought the dog inside.

Wires Down (10:58 a.m.) - A caller reported wires down on a vehicle in a parking lot on Center St. An officer responded and believed them to be telephone or cable wires. Easton Fire was called to remove the hazard. They stated that they were telephone wires and were not dangerous. It's believed that they were knocked down by a passing 18-wheeler.

That's The Guy (2:03 p.m.) - A call came in from a woman near Roche Bros. claiming that a black man who had broken into her car in another town once before was lingering in the parking lot. The woman requested an officer, and an officer spoke with the woman and the man. The man claimed that he did not know who the woman was, and the man also doesn't live in Massachusetts.
