Winter Storm Warning Issued for Easton

The warning will remain in effect until 7 a.m. Sunday.

EASTON, MA - The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather warning for Easton and Northern Bristol County. The warning will remain in effect until 7 a.m. Sunday.

A winter storm warning is issued by the NWS when an average of six or more inches of snow is expected in a 12-hour period, or eight or more inches in a 24-hour period.

Snow will continue through the afternoon and evening, with snowfall rates possibly hitting one to two inches per hour, according to the NWS.

Gusty winds up to 45 mph should be expected. The wind will result in blowing snow and poor visibility at times.

The snow will taper off after midnight.

As of early Saturday evening, the NWS is forecasting 6-8 inches of snow for Easton.
