Woman Left Car in Parking Lot for the Weekend

The following information was provided by the Easton Police Department. Those charged with crimes have not been convicted in a court of law.

Monday, May 27

6:54 a.m.: A caller from Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care reported that she came out of work and found that her passenger side mirror had been broken. An officer was dispatched and a report was filed.

10:28 a.m.: The manager of Honey Dew Donuts called to report that a car had been in their parking lot since Saturday, May 25. The manager stated that a woman had gotten out of the car on Saturday and never came back for the car, which now has a flat tire. Easton Police spoke to someone at the home of the car's registered owner, and they said they would have the car removed later in the day.

10:05 p.m.: Several 911 calls were received from the Morse Rd. area reporting a flash and explosion noise. The power is out. National Grid was notified. An officer checked the area and found a wire down in the street. The Easton Fire Department was notified and dispatched. Mass Highway Department was also alerted.

4:37 p.m.: A resident in the area of Buttonbush Dr. and Magnolia Way reported two suspicious cars parked in the neighborhood. An officer was dispatched and spoke to three people, who were all told to stay out of the area.

5:03 p.m.: A caller on Peabody Dr. reported a BBQ grill on fire. The Easton Fire Department was dispatched and the Police assisted. The fire was out upon arrival.
