Boston Mayor Marty Walsh is the latest to convey his willingness to provide accommodations for the hundreds of thousands seeking a safe place for relocation.
“We would be willing to take migrants if they have them — that situation is still trying to figure itself out particularly in Europe. No one has contacted us about the migrants. We are waiting to see what happens and what the situation is,” Walsh told the Boston Herald.

Refugees have been fleeing Syria in droves in order to escape conflict, taking shelter in Europe. U.N. officials feel Europe is not properly equipped to deal with the influx in refugees.
Tens of thousands are expected to flow into Hungary over the course of the coming weeks. Germany could take on as many as 500,000 over the course of the next year.
Officials say too many countries have offered to welcome the refugees, but the problem is only a limited amount of living space is available.
“If we needed to, we would take them,” Malsh said of the many refugees taking shelter in Europe.
