By all accounts, the valedictorian’s speech at Walpole High School’s graduation was well received. The speaker, Vivian Ling, waxed poetic about burritos in what has become known as the “Chipolte Graduation Speech.”

One problem: The speech wasn’t hers. It was plagiarized word for word from a speech given in 2006 at Wootton High School in Maryland.

As you might suspect, Walpole’s principal was none too pleased that the school’s sharpest student made such a dumb move, and he let the world know in a public apology to the original author and those who were duped.
