Essaibi-George Launches Second at-Large Boston City Council Race

After just missing two years ago, the Boston Public School teacher, coach, and small business owner, is trying again to get to City Hall.

Annissa Essaibi-George officially launched her second bid for a Boston City Council at-large seat yesterday in front of friends, family, and supporters at West in West Roxbury, according to a press statement.

The Boston Public School teacher and small business owner said she would focus on improving public education, making the city’s streets safer, combating youth violence, standing up for seniors, and creating economic opportunity and job growth in all of Boston’s neighborhoods.

“Government is stronger when we have different voices at the table,” she said. “As the mother of four young boys, Boston Public Schools teacher, and small business owner, I will bring a unique perspective to City Hall.”
