FoMu To Open In Fenway
FoMu is the vegan ice cream shop popular in Allston, JP and the South End.
FENWAY, MA — If you're missing the ice cream options in the neighborhood since Emack & Bolios closed up shop, take heart: FoMu is opening on Brookline Avenue right next to West Elm and across from the movies.
Although an exact date is still up in the air, the plan is to open in March, according to FoMu's founder.
"It is quite a small store, but we will have our core menu items including ice cream, smoothies, frappes, baked goods, and ice cream cakes," said FoMu founder Deena Jalal in an email to Patch.

FoMu sprung up in 2011 and set up shop in Allston in 2012 with its natural, plant-based, kosher ice cream and sweet snacks. Most of the ice-creams are made from coconut, with a few rotating in with cashew or fruit bases. The vegan menu spans the classics to the eclectic.
From the compostable paper products used in the shops, to their BPA-free, reusable and recyclable pint containers, to our eco-friendly shipping packages, FoMu places a focus on sustainability.
