BOSTON, MA – Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Mike Timlin was at the music festival near the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas Sunday night when a gunman took aim at the festival crowd and started shooting.

Timlin was among a group of people who escaped, unharmed, from the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival, where at least 50 people were killed and more than 200 were injured in what officials are calling the deadliest mass shooting in modern United States history.
