Jimmy Fund Telethon Takes Over Fenway Park This Week
The two-day fundraiser will raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Over the span of two days and two Red Sox games, the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon will take over Fenway Park on Tuesday and Wednesday in an effort to raise funds for cancer care and research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Fenway.Â
The annual 36-hour event will feature interviews with doctors, nurses, and patients, compelling stories, celebrity guests, and more. Dana-Farber pediatric and adult patients will also attend both evening’s home Red Sox games against the Baltimore Orioles.
You can follow along live from Fenway Park through a broadcast on WEEI 93.7 FM and NESN from 6 a.m. to midnight both days, and can make a donation online.
A major highlight of the event include a first pitch thrown by family members of slain MIT Police Officer Sean Collier, who was a Jimmy Fund supporter.Â
The Red Sox and the Jimmy Fund have been partners in charity for more than 60 years, according to a Jimmy Fund spokesperson.Â
