Mayoral Candidates Visting Fenway in Coming Weeks

Charlotte Golar-Ritchie will visit the Fenway neighborhood on July 24.

After 20 years under Mayor Thomas Menino it's going to feel a little weird to have a new mayor in charge of the city of Boston.

But with the city's long-serving mayor no longer running for re-election this year, the field is wide open and many worthy candidates have already thrown their hat in the race.

If you're looking to get to know any of the candidates or ask them about Fenway specific issues, several of the candidates will be stopping by the Peterborough Senior Center in Fenway over the next month. All candidates will meet at noon at the 42 Peterborough Street senior center and spend an hour or so meeting with Fenway residents and answering questions.

Coming up this week is Charlotte Golar-Richie, who has worked as a political activist and housing and community development advocate. She is currently Senior Vice President for Public Policy, Advocacy & Government Relations for YouthBuild US.

In the following weeks, John Barros will visit on the 7th of August, Michael Ross on the 15th, Rob Consalvo on the 22nd and William Walczak on the 28th. Previously, Felix Arroyo, John Connolly, Dan Conley and Marty Walsh have already stopped by.
