Betts led the majors in batting average at .346, hit 32 home runs, and knocked in 129 runs. He also slugged 42 doubles, 5 triples, and stole 30 bases.
"Mookie Betts is the first American League player ever to win the World Series and earn MVP, Gold Glove, and Silver Slugger Awards in the same season. The only NL player ever to do that is Hall of Fame Phillies third baseman Mike Schmidt (1980)," according to Sox Notes on Twitter.
