The term “upskirting,” fortunately was never a real word all that long ago, or at least never in wide use.

Unfortunatley, it’s a real word now — and not all that uncommon of a crime, committed when someone with a camera (think phone camera) snaps a picture of a woman from the ground up, under her skirt.

Case in point: Police from Canton, Norwood, Westwood and Walpole had heard of so many cases they felt compelled to work together to solve a string of the upskirting incidents at the Walpole Mall.

They say they got their man, Andrew Gavin, who’s accused of upskirting two women at a mall fabric store and may be connected to other incidents.
