Winner Announced for $1,700 Gold Pendant from Fenway Rose Garden Party
Sarah Cailler, a Newton resident, won the raffle at the Rose Garden Party in the Back Bay Fens on June 13, making her the owner of the 14-carat rose-gold pendant.

Is it worth it to spend $20 on a raffle ticket for a $1,700 diamond necklace?
Sarah Cailler, the winner of the necklace, must think so.
Cailler, a Newtonville resident, won the raffle at the Rose Garden Party in the Back Bay Fens on June 13, making her the owner of the 14-carat rose-gold pendant. The necklace was donated by Rose Garden Committee member Donna DePrisco of DePrisco Diamond Jewelers and is enhanced with a round full cut diamond center on an 18-inch 14-carat rose-gold chain.Â
The other top prize at the event was a 100% wool contemporary hand-tufted rug valued at $1,000 donated by Dover Rug, Natick, MA. The event also featured an action that included:
- A pair of roundtrip tickets on JetBlue for travel  from Boston to any nonstop city
- An opera evening for two at the Shubert Theatre along with a pre-performance dinner and post-performance cast party at the Four Seasons
- A two-night stay with American breakfast at Taj Boston
- An exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Franklin Park Zoo for up to six people
- A private skating party for a group of 100 at the historic Boston Common Frog Pond
- A weekend stay in the Presidential Suite at The Lenox Hotel with Saturday brunch, his and her in-room massages, dinner at the famed Top of The Hub restaurant, Sunday morning breakfast in bed, and a helicopter tour of Boston.
All the money raised at the annual event gets contributed back towards hosing free events in the parks year round, according to the city, including concerts, arts and crafts for children, puppet shows, painting and photography workshops, children’s festivals, movie nights, and more.Â
