Majority Of Foxborough Outages Fixed
It's not as bad as Friday's storm but roughly 29 percent of the town lost their power starting Wednesday night.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — It's not as bad as Friday's storm but roughly 29 percent of the town lost their power starting Wednesday night.
The latest storm placed 2,450 homes in the dark by 7:30 a.m. That number was nearly cut in half by 1:30 p.m. with 1,285 still waiting for the electricity to come back on. As of 6:45 p.m., all but 364 homes have power.
The town's Facebook account posted that National Grid crews are working to have power restored by the end of the day. Most of the affected areas are in the northern part of town.

The outages and weather have caused delays and closures across town. The Foxborough Public Schools are closed for the day while Town Hall, the Boyden Library and the Council on Aging opened at 10 a.m.
Across town, Foxborough Fire has responded to numerous calls for downed wires.

Granite Street was closed between Union and Prospect streets due to multiple fallen trees which took down electrical writes.
The McGinty Meeting Room at the Foxborough Public Safety Building is open for anyone who needs to charge their phone or warm up.
