Despite More Snow than Expected, Foxborough Avoids Worst of the Storm
6.5 inches were on the ground Saturday night, with forecasts predicting up to nine inches.
FOXBOROUGH, MA - It may not have been the storm-like conditions that hit Washington D.C. and New York City, but Foxborough received more snow than originally expected.
As late as Thursday, the National Weather Service said that the area would only see about two inches of snow, but estimates would rise through Friday and Saturday, with some projections pushing nine inches.
The snow was expected to taper off around midnight, before stopping at 2 a.m. according to the NWS. As of 9:30 p.m., 6.5 inches of snow was in Foxborough.

Roads in the area were hazardous and slippery due to the snow, with the NWS and Massachusetts State Police advising motorists to stay off the roads.
