Foxborough Weather Update: Forecast Says 6-9 Inches of Snow Possible

By Sunday morning, up to nine inches of snow could be on the ground in Foxborough.

FOXBOROUGH, MA - Winter Storm Jonas should be arriving in the area Saturday, bringing a more than few inches of snow along the way.

Due to the weather, the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning. The warning is issued by the NWS when an average of six or more inches of snow is expected in a 12-hour period, or eight or more inches in a 24-hour period.

Snow will continue through the afternoon and evening, with snowfall rates possibly hitting one to two inches per hour, according to the NWS.

Gusty winds up to 40 mph should be expected. The wind will result in blowing snow and poor visibility at times.

The snow will begin to taper off at midnight.

The warning is in effect until 7 a.m. Sunday.

On the forecast front, some networks are increasing their projections for Foxborough. The latest forecast from WHDH has Foxborough receiving four to eight inches while WCVB says six to nine inches is possible.
