Former Patriot's Dog 'Simply Vanished,' Police Say
Jerod Mayo's dog Knox was with a trainer in Wrentham when the dog simply vanished, according to police.

WRENTHAM, MA — Police are investigating an odd situation which has resulted in an English Bulldog that has gone missing.
Police say that former New England Patriot Jerod Mayo's dog Knox went missing while he was with a trainer and another dog at Joe's Rock in Wrentham Saturday night. The trainer told police that while he was attending to the other dog, Knox "simply vanished."
"We're not posting this because of the celebrity owner. That's just a coincidence. We're posting because the circumstances are a bit mysterious, unlike the usual lost dog case, and we think someone out there can help," Wrentham Police stated in a release.

A search of the area didn't turn up Knox, only his e-collar with no signs that it was torn off or removed with force.
"There was no blood or fur found near the collar and no sounds were heard, no growling, barking, yelping that one would expect if Knox became prey to another animal," Wrentham Police said.

Making the disappearance even more unusual is the fact that English Bulldogs are not known for running due to their short legs and poor cardio.
So far, police have no clues, leads, or witnesses. If you know anything about Knox, you are asked to call the Wrentham Police Department at 508-384-2121.
