Foxboro 2020 July 4 Celebration: Fireworks Pending Decision

Foxborough may have some July 4 events, but the organizers haven't decided yet if they will cancel or proceed.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — July 4 events across the country will look different this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Independence Day events. In Foxborough, there may still be some events, but a decision on their cancellation is pending.

Fireworks were originally scheduled dusk on July 3 at Patriots Place, but the organizers are still deciding whether to have them. The annual showing of Captain America was originally scheduled for July 2.

Patriots Place has hosted several drive-in movie nights this spring, but there's no confirmation yet on whether the annual showing will become a drive-in event.
