Why are you seeking elective office?
I’ve volunteered for the Foxboro public schools over the last 9 years, most recently as Ahern PAC president. My daughter is leaving the Ahern and I wanted to continue to work for the students of this town. I have always been an advocate for the kids. I hope to be their voice on the School Committee of elected.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
The safe and smooth transition back to full time in person learning is the single largest issue the students face right now. I hope to champion for their safety and success for the remainder of this year and next school year.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.
I am passionate for the students, fiscally responsible and want to help aid in the successful return to full-time in person learning.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Successfully co-chaired the BIT auction, 4 years as president of Ahern PAC (created a solvent budget that was able to fully fund all proposed enrichment activities for Ahern students), assisted in creating Ahern Warrior Walk, 8 years of being a room parent, 21 years in sales and finance
The best advice ever shared with me was:
Listen twice as much as you speak.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I volunteer because I care about my town and the children in it. I am passionate about public school and education. I have witnessed first hand all the wonderful things this town, educators and administrators have done for the kids and hope to be a part of its success in the years to come!
