Pearson, LiDonni Win Foxborough School Committee Race

Sarah LiDonni will make the shift from Foxborough PTO to the school committee, and Richard Pearson got a second term.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — There will be an old face and also a new one on the Foxborough School Committee after voters picked incumbent Richard Pearson and Sarah LiDonni in the town election Monday night.

Pearson, the chair of the committee, led all candidates with 655 votes, according to unofficial results.

"Thank you to everyone for supporting me for another three years," Pearson said. "I am very excited to be involved in guiding education for our town. I have worked hard for all students and families and will continue to do so."

LiDonni, a member of the Ahern Middle School Parent Teachers Organization, finished with 611 votes and said she's excited to serve the school district in a new role.

"I got sworn in, and two minutes later, Rich turns to me and says, 'the schedule is really crazy, we got a meeting tomorrow night. Just get in a lane and press the gas,'" LiDonni said.

Salina Chowdhury finished third with 411 votes, according to unofficial results.

The school committee race headlined the election. All the other races, including for the Board of Selectmen, were not contested. Incumbent Leah Gibson will keep her seat, and former Advisory Board Member Seth Ferguson will join her, taking former Selectman Christopher Mitchell's seat.
