Foxborough Among Dozens Of MA Towns Where Coronavirus Cases Grew

Despite an increase in coronavirus cases, the positive test rate remained at a safe level in Foxborough.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Foxborough was one of 90 towns in Massachusetts that saw a rise in positive coronavirus cases over the last 14 days. The town's positive test rate however is still well below the safety thresholds, according to state officials.

Over the past two weeks, nine people tested positive for the virus out of the 594 who were tested, according to data released Wednesday by the state Department of Public Health. That's a positive test rate of 1.52 percent, well below the 2 percent safety threshold.

Last week, Foxborough's coronavirus positive test rate was also below the safety threshold, but was at a much lower rate at .39 percent

As of Wednesday, 127 Foxborough residents have tested positive for the virus.
