Foxborough Boys’ Lax Earns 17th Seed in MIAA D2 East State Tourney

Despite a strong regular season, the Foxborough High School boys’ lacrosse team is seeded 17^th in the upcoming MIAA Division 2 East Sectional state tournament as a result of three forfeits for the use of an ineligible player in April.

Foxborough (12-7) will travel to No. 16 Walpole (11-7) Tuesday in a preliminary round game next week. Game time is slated for 5 p.m.

Foxborough finished the season in second place of the Hockomock League Davenport Division with a 10-2 league record – one game behind league champion Canton (11-1). Foxborough would have finished the season 15-4 if it was not for the MIAA ruling in April that took away non-league wins against Bishop Feehan (2) and Reading.

Foxborough and Walpole did not meet in the regular season.
