Foxborough Girls' Tennis Edges Sharon to Advance to MIAA D2 South Semis

Warriors beat Eagles, 3-2, Tuesday in the MIAA Division 2 South Sectional quarterfinals to advance to Thursday's semifinal round against No. 4 Hingham.

The Foxborough High School girls' tennis team held off a pesky Sharon team Tuesday to advance to the MIAA Division 2 South Sectional semifinals.

The top seeded Warriors (18-1) defeated No. 8 Sharon (13-6), 3-2 in Tuesday's MIAA D2 South quarterfinal round at Foxborough High School. Next up for Foxborough is No. 4 Hingham (20-2), which defeated No. 5 Hopkinton (16-3), 3-2 Tuesday.

Thursday's Foxborough vs. Hingham semifinal round match is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Foxborough High School.
