Foxborough Launches Shop Local Campaign To Help Small Businesses
Shoppers that make purchases at participating businesses are eligible to enter a prize drawing.
FOXBOROUGH, MA — As the coronavirus pandemic continues to worsen in the Foxborough-area, it's likely many people will be steered towards online shopping this holiday season. So town officials and local businesses are teaming up to promote safe local shopping and help the small mom-and-pop shops in Foxborough.
On Black Friday, participating shops and restaurants started their "Shop Local Foxboro" campaign, aimed at boosting visibility for small businesses hurt by coronavirus restrictions in 2020.
"In a nutshell, we're just trying to get people thinking and stimulate people about shopping local all year round," said Heather Harding during a meeting of the town's economic development committee.
