Foxborough resident named to U.S. Paralympic Alpine Skiing team

Connor Hogan will represent the United States in Pyeongchang next month at the Paralympic Winter Games.

February 20, 2018 - Today, U.S. Paralympics of Team USA announced the Alpine Skiing team for the Winter Paralympics to take place in Pyeongchang, South Korea beginning March 10, 2018. Connor Hogan, 20, of Foxborough was named to the team. Connor, who has cerebral palsy, began skiing at Bromley Mountain in Peru, Vermont at the age of 5. He started ski racing through the Diana Golden series sponsored by Disabled Sports USA (DSUSA) throughout the nNortheast at the age of 7. After training with the Bromley Outing Club, he took his training across the valley to Stratton Mountain, Vermont and the Stratton Winter Sports Club in 2013. This season, Connor traveled to Colorado, Utah and Canada to compete as an independent athlete with his Dad as coach and saw success with a number of podium finishes. In 2014, Connor received a silver medal in Super G at National Championships and again in 2015, received a silver medal in Slalom at National Championships. Connor competed in his first World Championships in 2015 at Panorama, British Columbia finishing 15th. Connor is excited to represent the United States in his first Paralympic Games and encourages everyone to follow the coverage on NBC tv and livestream.
