Foxborough Storm Update: Falling Wires, Few Outages
Foxborough has avoided major issues as of midday.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Foxborough was able to avoid serious damage from the latest storm.
By midday, the Foxborough police and fire departments have responded to a handful of downed wires, vehicles off the road, a fire alarm, and three EMS calls, according to Foxborough Police.
No more than 120 homes in Foxborough were without power, according to National Grid outage map and most of the outages were on Reynolds Drive. A blown transformer was blamed. Some homes near Cross Street also lost power due to a downed wire. Late Wednesday night, fewer than five homes were in the dark according to National Grid.

South Street was closed between Union and Water streets due to a large tree leaning over wires. The street was reopened at about 6 p.m. Mill Street was blocked near Bristol Lane and is now open.Cross Street between North and South Cross streets was closed due to downed wires.
