How Much Snow Fell In Foxborough Feb. 1-2

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Some of Massachusetts saw less snow accumulation that initially forecast Monday into Tuesday, though parts of the state saw well over a foot. The heavy, wet snow made for dangerous road conditions across the state, and many school districts opted to continue with all-distance learning due to the inclement weather.

Foxborough saw some of the highest snow accumulations in Norfolk County with 7.6 inches as of Monday night. The snow forced a one-hour delay at the schools Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service also gathered preliminary snow totals from across the state. On Tuesday morning, Lowell was the winner in the state with 24 inches.

The weather service also reported top wind gusts. The highest in the state was a 71 mph gust in Wellfleet. Locally, the Blue Hills observatory captured a 58 mph gust.

Here are the preliminary snow totals for Norfolk County and some of the hardest hit areas in the state.

• Millis - 4.5 inches, 7:32 p.m.
• Walpole - 2 inches 5:18 p.m.

Middlesex County

• Hudson — 17 inches, 11:26 p.m.
• East Acton — 16.8 inches, 11:10 p.m.
• Marlborough — 14 inches, 12:30 a.m.
