FOXBOROUGH, MA — The Patriots are reportedly canceling practice Friday after at least one more coronavirus case on the team.

ESPN is reporting the team has another positive test and awaiting confirmation on what looks to be a second.

The news once again throws the Patriots game against the Broncos — already twice rescheduled — into flux. The game is currently set for Sunday afternoon; It had been originally scheduled for last Sunday and was moved to Monday, but positive tests in New England bumped it to this week.

The NFL could be faced with its stiffest challenge yet in navigating the coronavirus. This week was supposed to be the Patriots' lone bye week, and the league rescheduled several other future games just to get this one in.

The Patriots on Thursday had three players, including quarterback Cam Newton and cornerback Stephon Gilmore, practice for the first time since being taken off the team's COVID list.
