LETTER: Lynda Walsh Thanks Foxborough for 6 Years of Support
Former Foxborough selectman Lynda Walsh writes in to thank those in the community who supported her during her six years of service on the board.
Dear editor,
I’ve been overwhelmed with phone calls, cards, and emails from folks thanking me for my past service.Â
I’d just like to publicly thank all who have supported me for the past six years as your selectman. I’ve truly enjoyed this experience and have learned so much. Â

I thank all the town employees and their department heads, as well as all the town committee members for answering my calls and questions, the town is fortunate to have each of you.Â
To my committee, Chris and Paula Mitchell, Deb Stewart, Paul Lanza, Mark and Sandy Emery, and Kris Long … thank you so much for everything. We ran a good campaign, one to be proud of, each of you did what you could, and I will always remember our weekly campaign meetings.

Thanks to my supporters who contributed, we were able to advertise both online and in print for the entire month of April.Â
The postcard mailing couldn’t have been accomplished without help from my boss, thank you Bill Conopka for extending not only financial support, but your personal support.
Thank you to the folks who permitted my sign to be placed on their lawn for the month too. Thank you to all who took the time to spend one on one time with me also, I heard your concerns and will do my best to help where I can.
I want folks to be assured that I will continue to take a vested interest in what is happening with our town. I’ll be but a phone call away if you need my help or assistance. I so wish that I was able to continue to represent you, but the town has spoken.
It was a pleasure to serve the town and I will continue to do my part to keep Foxboro pride alive and well. Best wishes to the new board.
One last bit of advice, become involved, go to town meeting, vote on election day, let your voice be heard.Â
Sincerely,
Lynda Walsh
