Man Who Sparked Sheehan Investigation Brings Story To The Stage
Kevin Corliss' one-man play details his life as he suffered sexual abuse at the hands of William Sheehan.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The man who revealed decades old allegations of sexual abuse in Foxborough is taking his story to the stage of the Marilyn Rodman Peforming Arts Center.
"From Surviving to Thriving: Chronicles of Sexual Abuse" is a one-person play starring Kevin Corliss, whose revelation that former swimming instructor, teacher, and scout leader William Sheehan abused him and more than 40 children in the '60s, '70s, and '80s led to a town investigation and shock across Foxborough.
"Surviving to Thriving is the true story of a childhood growing up in a small town south of Boston and how, in this town as in many others across the country, sexual abuse was going on right under the nose of town officials," the preview on the Rodman Center website states.

After Corliss and other came forward, local authorities attempted to press charges against Sheehan, In 2012, police located him in a secure assisted-living facility in Florida, where he resides and suffers from dementia. A year later, the Norfolk County District Attorney's office determined that Sheehan was not competent to stand trial.
The two-act play is rated PG.

Corliss' play is on Sept. 27 and is for one night only. Ticket are $10 and can be purchased on the Rodman Center's website or by calling 508-543-2787.
