Obituary: Danny Nickerson

Danny Nickerson's life will be celebrated on April 29 at 11 a.m.

From Roberts and Sons Funeral Home:

Danny was born on July 25, 2008 in Norwood. He attended Kindergarten at the Burrell Elementary School in Foxborough. Danny was a Super Mario video game extraordinaire and a Lego master builder. He spent many hours playing and beating every Mario game ever invented and enjoyed teaching his brother and others how to play as well as he could play. He also took to Legos and with a little help he became a master builder and built over 200 sets, only to tear them apart to create his own creations. He went to Lego Land twice to come up with new ideas. Danny loved collecting tiny toys, Beanie Boo’s, Mario figures, Lego figures and anything soft, cuddly and cute. Danny loved playing at the playground, playing with his friends, having movie nights, trips to the park, going to Lego Land and Disney, going to the zoo and snuggling baby animals, and floating around the lazy river for hours.

In his short 6 years, Danny accomplished more than some would in a lifetime. He went to Disney World four times, Lego Land twice, Sea World, Universal Studios, where he got to ride the front float in a parade, hatched and raised five baby ducks, had the New England Patriots team sing him happy birthday and had his own private parade on his birthday, was hand delivered a birthday card by Robert Kraft, signed by the team and received over 750,000 birthday cards from around the world.
