Obituary: Foxborough Town Planner Sharon Wason, 64
A celebration of Sharon's life will be held on June 10 at Roberts and Sons Funeral Home.

Sharon Wason, age 64 died on May 28, 2015 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Patricia (Steadman) Wason.
Sharon was born on January 24, 1951 in Sacramento, CA, but came from deep roots in New Boston, NH. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at MIT and her Master’s Degree at Tufts University. She married her husband James Shelton in 1973. Sharon split her time at home between Manchester, NH and Walpole, MA. Sharon last worked as Town Planner for the Town of Foxborough.

Sharon was a supporter of the Audubon Society, the Trustees of the Reservations and the Neponset River Watershed Association. She loved her cats, rock music and knitting. Sharon will always be remembered as a tireless advocate, a dedicated public servant and for her vibrant and caring spirit.
Beloved wife of 42 years of James Shelton. Loving mother of Katharine Shelton of Manchester, NH and Andrew Shelton of Dorchester, MA. Sister of Kevin Wason of Concord, NH, Amy Patterson of Colebrook, NH, Molly Woodbury of Holden, MA, Chuck Wason of Amherst, NH and the late Susan and Sandy.

Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, June 10 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxborough. A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. For additional information please contact 508 543-5471. Donations Information
In lieu of flowers, Sharon’s family kindly requests donations be made to a fund in her name at Foxborough Federal Savings Bank, 1 Central Street, Foxborough, MA 02035. The Sharon Wason Memorial Fund will provide scholarship opportunities for female students of engineering and urban planning.
