Obituary: Isaiah A. Spencer, 9

Those looking to help the family are asked to contribute to the YouCaring campaign, "Help Isaiah Spencer Rest In Peace."

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A Foxborough boy who suddenly died last week will be laid to rest Sunday.

Visiting hours will be held for Isaiah Spencer, 9, on March 4 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. A funeral service will follow. Burial will be private, according to his obituary.

Spencer died following seven days in an intensive care unit after suffering cardiac arrest, according to the YouCaring campaign "Help Isaiah Spencer Rest In Peace."

"We are all truly in shock and deeply saddened over this great loss. Words cannot adequately express the pain and sadness that is being felt. We cannot say enough regarding the joy that Isaiah has brought to all of our eyes and hearts throughout the past 9 1/2 years. His contagious smile, playful ways and beautiful spirit will live on forever! " Alexandra Spencer wrote on the YouCaring Page.

The website is being used to help pay for medical bills and funeral costs. Over $16,600 has been raised as of Friday afternoon, with a $10,000 goal.

Spencer leaves behind his parents Alexandra Spencer of Foxboro and Jonathan Gillard of Cambridge and many cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives.
