Patriot Place Gets Heated Igloos For Winter Outdoor Dining
The igloos sit up to six people and are available at the CBS Sporting Club, Six String Grill & Stage, Skipjack's, Tavolino and Wormtown.
FOXBOROUGH, MA — Outdoor dining season is extending into the winter at Patriot Place restaurants. And to help keep guests warm and safe, several restaurants have installed heated, socially distant igloos for people to dine in.
Groups of six or less can enjoy this unique dining experience at several Patriot Place restaurants. Guests can dine overlooking Gillette Stadium at CBS Sporting Club, or enjoy a meal with a great view of Patriot Place's festive holiday decorations at Six String, Skipjack's, Tavolino or Wormtown Brewery.
All igloos are heated and fully sanitized after each use to ensure the safety of all guests and employees. They've also been decorated with festive lights to help patrons get into the holiday spirit.

Sasha Murray, the assistant general manager at the CBS Sporting Club, said the restaurant received three igloos about a week ago, and so far, they've been a big hit. Reservations are often selling out.
She said she hopes this helps extend the outdoor dining season and bring more business to CBS Sporting Club in an unusual year when the New England Patriots are playing home games without fans. Still, she said the restaurant is doing well because of the winter, socially distance activities going on at Patriot Place, like the drive-in holiday lights show.

"It's been quite pleasant with the light show," Murray said. "If it wasn’t for that w'’d probably be hurting without them. It brings us so much business. Almost everyone that comes in is going to the light show."
Tom Perruna, the general manager at Tavolino, said the restaurant received five igloos, and so far they've been a big hit and a great investment.
"So far it’s going well, and people are enjoying it," Perruna said. "It’s been a unique experience; it's something different."
He said those igloos will help keep business going and add to the options the restaurant can offer besides it dine-in, takeout and curbside pickup services.
"The restaurant is safe," he said. "We have tight protocol, and we got great ventilation and have put in the effort. We hope people would be comfortable dining in or getting takeout."
Patriot Place officials said they and venue staff will be on-hand to ensure all proper social distancing guidelines are being followed. More details and reservation information can be found here.
