Patriots Opening Night Weather Report: Clear Skies, Expect Dropping Temperatures

Thursday's high will be around 76 degrees but it will be dropping around the time the parking lots open.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — While there were fears of rain earlier in the week, there is a minimal chance of rain when the Patriots reveal their Super Bowl LI banner prior to Thursday night's game.

The National Weather Service reports that there is a chance of showers before 9 a.m. Otherwise, expect a cloudy day that will gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 76 degrees that will begin to go down around 4 p.m.

In the evening, the forecast calls for mostly clear skies with a low around 53.

But what about game time? The Weather Channel's hourly forecast says to expect a temperature of 65 degrees at 8 p.m., the time when fans are advised to get to their seats for the pregame ceremony. By the time the game gets out around midnight, it will be a bit cooler at 59 degrees.

So in summary, expect dry weather, but bring something when it gets cold and of course, don't forget to pick up your Roger Goodell clown towel in the parking lot.
