Patriots Reduce Gillette Stadium Capacity To 20 Percent

The Patriots outlined coronavirus safety guidelines for if the team gets state and local approval to have fans at Gillette Stadium.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The New England Patriots announced that if the team is allowed to have fans at games in 2020, Gillette Stadium will host just 20 percent capacity due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Team representatives also reached out to season ticket holders to inform them of safety protocols that will be put in place at games if the Patriots get state and local approval.

Fans will be required to maintain at least 6 feet of social distance from other parties, and those parties will be limited to 10 seats. Masks or face coverings must also be worn inside Gillette Stadium at all times.

The team previously announced parking would be free this year. Season ticket holders also have the option to skip the 2020 season if they have concerns about age or underlying health conditions.
