Tavalino Opening Sister Restaurant At Patriot Place In Foxboro
Tavolino will open a second restaurant at Patriot Place called Citizen Crust. It will focus in "global street food."
FOXBOROUGH, MA — Tavolino, a longtime restaurant at Patriot Place, was given the green light by the Board of Selectmen to open a sister shop at the opposite end of the shopping plaza. The new eatery, Citizen Crust, will open across from Bar Louis in a 6,100 square-foot space with a 100-seat dining room, 50 bar stools and 24 patio seats.
Tavolino manager Thomas Perruna told the selectmen he will also manage Citizen Crust. He said the two restaurants will not compete with each other, and the new one will have a menu focusing on "global street food" for dining in and for take-out.
Town Manager William Keegan said Tavolino and Citizen Crust will hold separate alcohol licenses, but both will be assigned under Perruna's name.

"It's a unique situation and one you'd don't see very often," Keegan said, but both him and Selectman David Feldman said they were confident this would work because Perruna was one of the orginal businesses to partipate in FoxCares collaborative, a group that promotes best practices for training employees to serve alcohol responsibly.
