Trader Joe's, Shaw's: Thanksgiving 2020 Foxboro Supermarket Hours

FOXBOROUGH, MA — While Thanksgiving Day gatherings are likely to be a little smaller this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, that doesn’t mean we’re less likely to forget the cranberry sauce, the gravy or the whipped topping for the pumpkin pie.

It’s a terrible feeling — but, luckily, there’s a list of grocery stores that will be open in the Foxborough area for those emergency and last-minute shopping trips.

In contrast to previous years, retail giants Target and Walmart will not be open on Thanksgiving. Both chains made the decision in response to the coronavirus pandemic. In a statement released on its website, Target said the company’s goal is to "make the holiday shopping experience simple, safe, and stress-free.”

Almost no grocery stores will be open in the region on Thanksgiving Day. Here are the big ones in the area:

Cumberland Farms: All locations open normal hours. Multiple locations in Foxborough, Mansfield and Sharon

CVS: Most stores will be open on Thanksgiving.

Shaw's: Locations, including Sharon, closed on Thanksgiving.

Stop & Shop: All stores in Massachusetts are closed on Thanksgiving.

Trader Joe’s: Local stores, including the one at Patriot Place, are closed.

Walgreens: Most locations closed on Thanksgiving.
