The events of January 6, 2021 in Washington, D.C. at the Capitol Building could very easily have been such an event. It would have been very easy for a small group of foreign terrorists, currently living in the United States and waiting for an opportunity, to mingle with the large crowd of people who forced their way passed the security guards and the metal detectors into the private areas of the Capitol Building. Once inside they could have taken pictures of private areas, planted listening devices and unfortunately even explosive devices that could be detonated remotely at a later time.

Fortunately, as far as we know, this did not happen. We can assume that every area that was breached will be scanned for any unusual devices and any missing files or objects of a security nature will be noted and recovered.
