WATCH: Foxborough Art Studio's Student Art Show
See the work of about 40 students from the Hunakai Studio of Fine Arts in Foxborough.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Every year, the Hunakai Studio of Fine Arts holds an art show to showcase the work of their students. But because of the coronavirus pandemic, Executive Director Carla Carey said she had to improvise.
The "All Student Art Show" was held virtually this year and showed off the art of about 40 students.
Typically, the Foxborough-based art studio would host a large event for its students and their loved ones with their artwork on display throughout the studio. COVID-19 stopped that plan in its tracks, but Carey decided to highlight her students' work on YouTube instead.

The students' work included oil paintings, acrylics, watercolors, portraits, drawings, pastels, cartooning, illustrations and kids artwork. Students chose from their favorite pieces of work that they've completed this year and participated in a virtual lesson or a Zoom meet up exercise with studio staff to prepare their work for the show.
"I'm so proud of all of our students who continued to work on their projects while the studio has been closed because of the coronavirus. While it was not our typical All Student Show, this one was special in its own regard and the video came out great," Carey said. "We have gotten such tremendous support from our student community throughout this pandemic and it's great to finally be open for classes again, albeit with very limited class sizes."
