FRAMINGHAM, MA — Edgardo Torres announced Thursday he will not run for re-election as District 9 City Councilor. Torres is now the fourth councilor to bow out of next year's elections. Councilor-at-Large Cheryl Tully Stoll, District 2 Councilor Pam Richardson and Vice Chair Charles Sisitsky all announced they will not run.

Torres said he had been thinking about whether or not he should run for re-election for some time now but health complications pushed him to bow out. "I'm going to use this time to focus on my health and my family," Torres said. He had been in an accident in June that has caused the recent health complications.

"It has been a pleasure serving my community and working with the community organizations and youth," he said, "Just magnificent."
