15-Year-Old Girl Calls PD As Men Allegedly Break In To Home
A teenager stayed on the phone as two men allegedly were trying to break in to her family's house.
DOUGLAS, MA—Around 1:12 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, Douglas police got a 911 call from a 15-year-old girl who said that she was home alone and two men were breaking in to her house.
While officers were en route the girl stayed on the phone with the dispatcher and told him what the men were doing. As the men tried to get in through a back door with a pry bar, the girl was advised by the dispatcher to lock herself in a room.
A short time later Officers Anthony Yannino and Jake Bloniasz arrived and located one vehicle parked at the end of the driveway. While the suspects were in the back of the residence, Yannino removed the keys from the vehicle. Both officers headed to the back of the house and confronted the men in the kitchen as they just gained access through a pried open window.
