5 Things You Need to Know Today: March 1

3. On this day in 1961, President Kennedy established the Peace Corps, which is still an organization that is going strong today. There are so many great organizations to volunteer at locally, which you can find on Grafton Patch, but if you love to travel, the Peace Corps could be the right fit for you.
