GRAFTON, MA — The flu is on the rise in the Commonwealth. According to the latest weekly flu report from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, data shows an increase in rates of flu-like illness over the past seven days.

"If you haven’t gotten your flu shot yet, there is still time to protect yourself from flu as the holiday season continues," writes the Dept. of Public Health. "Call your health care provider or local board of health or visit a local pharmacy and get a flu shot today!"

Walgreens and the United Nations (UN) Foundation also announced this week the launch of the 2016 "Get a Shot. Give a Shot." campaign, a fourth-year collaboration to help provide life-saving vaccines to children in developing countries. Now through Aug. 31, 20171, for every flu shot or other immunization administered at Walgreens pharmacies, Healthcare Clinics, or Duane Reade pharmacies, Walgreens donates the value of a life-saving vaccine through the Foundation’s Shot@Life campaign
