GRAFTON, MA — Grafton announced it has three confirmed cases of the new coronavirus on Wednesday. The first positive case in town was announced on Monday. All three cases are being monitored and isolated and/or quarantined as needed.

To limit the spread of the virus, Grafton has established remote participation protocols for all boards and committees. The town also established a “Grafton Strong” donation page available for those that wish to contribute monetarily to residents and businesses in Grafton who have been

adversely affected by the pandemic. The funds will be held in an account consistent with MGL Ch. 44, 53A until the Select Board authorizes the expenditure of the gift funds for the purpose in which they were intended.

According to the CDC, the best way of preventing the disease is to avoid close contact with people who are sick, to avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands, to wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and to use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol if soap and water are not available.
